Move

So the day comes to get the bird out of the garage and move her to the airport where the phase I and phase II testing will be conducted.

Here is Chris van Hoof "Our well liked local EAA Helper" to assist with the daunting task of getting the Cozy out of a two car garage. Each door is only 7ft high and 8ft across.

Many hands make light work. Here can be seen that the main undercarriage had to be removed, but the engine was left installed. An automotive engine lift was hooked onto the engine and this helped lift the rear end.

Scrap carpeting was rolled around the centre pillar to prevent scraping the paint work. Another piece was on the paving for the nose to slide on.

As can be seen it was quite a maneuver to twist the Cozy out.

Home free and the birth of the Cozy. This goes to show that a two car garage is good for a Cozy Project.

Final assembly in the garden and ready for the first engine run.

Loaded on a trailer and ready to take her to the airport.

So now we are halfway and through the first toll gate.

At the airport and assembled in the hanger. Now comes the first flight test.
