February, 24th 2008 - FASY, Baragwanath

A very nice 4 seat Robin. Great all round visibility and a good four seater.

A Europe - not sure who this belongs to.

South Africa has a good couple of flying Tiger Moths. I have heard that there are not many in the US. All the Moths in SA are will kept and in excellent condition.

My Cozy MKIV O-540 in a high speed turn over the field. Sleek lines eh?

Chris van Hoof tailing the C182RG for the photo shoot. I was already airborne and holding circuit pattern at this stage. I took the opportunity to impress the small crowd at the airport with the climb and speed capability of the O-540 powered Cozy MKIV. It was fun.

Here is a picture if the GPS 296 track during my small air display... Density alt was almost 9000ft and I could easily maintain 2000 ft/min climb. Temp was 31.5 C and the oil temps suffered slightly but never exceeded 220 F. CHT's was all around 375 F. So I am over the moon with that.

A fly past just to show off.

The chase is on ... Chris van Hoof in his IO-360 Cozy trying to get the crosshairs onto me.

Chris showing off his beautifully finished joy to the small crowd at the airport.

Very nice Decathlon

Chris van Hoof taking the camera crew for a shoot with the slower planes of the day. This a Partenavia and he removed the doors for the event. It is the only 4 seat 3 door airplane I know of.

This is the chase plane for the photo shoot of the faster airplanes of the day. I still had a hard time to keep my speed in ZU-DAR in check at around 140 Mph IAS.
