Playing with GPS Visualizer

To do this you would have to upload your GPS track file to http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/map_input?form=googleearth and set the following under Track Options:

1.   Altitude Mode - "Extruded ("connected to the ground via a Wall")

2.    Colorize By - "Speed"

GPS Visualizer will then return a file with a KMZ or KML extension and opening it will open your Google Earth.

Be sure to tick the "Terrain" check box in the layers section in Google Earth. Tilt the view  point to see the side profile of your flight.
