My Cozy MKIV O-540

On May 23rd, 1998 I received my copy of Nat Puffers Cozy MKIV. I started out immediately getting my shop in order and building a large workbench. Tools that I needed was sourced from e-bay and local second hand stores. I also built a fiberglass closet from which I could unroll the glass UNI & BID onto my workbench that doubled as a cutting surface. I never had the pleasure of using an Epoxy Pump. If I ever build again I would surely get one.

Important considerations:

  1. Good workshop layout saves you trouble later on.
  2. Stick to the plans - modifications and altering the design leads to frustration and unforeseen difficulties.
  3. Keep a well organized Build Log.
  4. Document your building schedule and achievements with accompanying photos.
  5. Join as many Community Forums as possible.
  6. Discuss your problems and ask questions with other builders.
  7. Visit projects in progress as much as you can.
  8. Get your family's support up front.
  9. There are many time tried and proven enhancements - consider them necessary.
