Construction I will not delve into chapter summaries, instead I will post a couple on self explanatory pictures and try and out some comments with them. There are many other Construction sites that have much better chapter summaries than ever can produce. Besides it has been quite a while since my building phase and my memories will only lead to disaster.
Early on I realized that I had to trim the excess of at the gel stage. This is when the glass laminate has just lost its tackiness and is still rubbery and flexible. I used a Stanley Knife and ran it against the edge of the bulkhead and a neat trim resulted.
The inverted fuselage tub.
The canard is installed and checked with the new template "G". I made the nose longer by increasing the size of "F0". I have my battery installed ahead of "F0" to act as ballast for the Lycoming 0-540.
the complete aircraft is now assembled and I have already started that "forever" applying micro and sanding stage. Sand, sand, sand & sand.
The bottom is painted with a high quality 2K paint.
The instrument panel layout.
Due to the larger Lycoming O-540 engine I chose to install I had to custom make my own baffling. it worked out well and I am quite satisfied with the results.
